first titans game

last night i took addison to her first titans game.

my dad has had season tickets since they came to nashville, and i've been going with him ever since. i remember the first game we went to, and it was kind of traumatic for me. i won't bore you with the whole story, but a drunk lady was sitting beside me and threw up everywhere. so ya.

i don't go to every game {and i haven't gone to many in the past years}, but i want to go to more games this year. so every time i'm given the opportunity, i'm going to try my best to go!

i really wanted to take addison to a game this year. i figured she was old enough. we had taken her to a sounds game this summer and she did pretty well, so i thought she would do fine at a titan's game.

my dad was out of town, so he gave me his tickets. it was a preseason game, so it wasn't as "serious" as regular season games {he would probably argue with me on that}. i figured it would be a good one to take addison to since we weren't obligated to stay there the whole time {mainly because we weren't with my dad. he likes to stay the entire time. no matter the score}

i'm kind of a last minute person, so i waited until yesterday to look for addison a shirt to wear to the game. and i had no such luck. luckily, she had an old jersey {size 2T, mind you} in her closet. and luckily again, it fit. barely.

i'm going to get her a cuter t-shirt/jersey/dress for her next game. i'll definitely plan that a little better.

if you're a titans fan {or really into football at all}, you can probably tell that my jersey is a little outdated. i've had it for probably 10 years. i think i may get a new jersey this year. but at least i'm supporting the titans by wearing a jersey :)

addison did great! my dad has 3 tickets, so i took my friend maegen to the game, too. addison loves maegen and was all about her the whole night. she really didn't want to have anything to do with me.

she danced and played most of the time. she didn't really watch any of the game. although it was pointed out to me that i didn't really watch any of the games when i would go when i was younger, and even then i was much older than addison.

when she did watch, she'd get so excited when everyone clapped. she would clap right along with everyone. she had no clue what was going on, but she figured it was good since they were clapping!

we left around the middle/end of the 3rd quarter. the titans were up by 10 {and they ended up winning}. even though we left early, it was still about 9:30 when we left. we had to take maegen home, which resulted in spending a few minutes there so addison could say hi. then we headed home.

addison didn't get in bed until around 11. i decided to go to bed at the same time. i was going to do a few things on my computer though, so i left my light on. no less than 2 minutes after i put addison to bed, she came walking into my room, asking what i was doing. she promptly climbed in bed with me and said she wanted to sleep with me.

i didn't feel like forcing her to go back to her bed, so i just let her sleep with me. we were both so tired that i don't think either one of us woke up at all in the night. titans games are tiring!

i'm really excited for this football season. i can't believe it's already here! i'm excited to go to more titans games, and hopefully i'll take addison to some more this season, too!

goooooo titans!

since it's football season (finally), chris went out and got addison a really cute titan's outfit. i can't wait to take her to games! i'm not sure if i'll take her this year, but i will next year for sure!

this picture just made me laugh. she looks so serious.

addison got tired of me taking pictures so she closed the doors to keep me out of her playroom. she's sassy already.

i can't wait for the weather to get a little cooler, then it'll be perfect weather for a football game. and hopefully they'll still be winning then!

fall break

today is the official start of my fall break! yippee! there's no class next monday-wednesday, and i don't have class on thursday. so i don't go back until next friday!

i don't really have any plans for my break. i just want to relax and get some stuff done. the house isn't really messy or dirty, so i don't have anything major to do around here. the only thing i want to do around the house is clean out my closet. i have so many shirts that i don't wear any more. and i keep telling myself maybe i'll wear it. and i never do. i have stuff from high school that i never even wore then. i think once i clean out my closet, it's going to be virtually empty. maybe that'll give me an excuse to do a little shopping :)

speaking of shopping, i've found so many cute things online recently. i've pretty much made out my christmas list in my head. i found this cute jewelry website that was on MckMama's blog. she was doing a giveaway, which of course i didn't win. the jewelry is from lisa leonard designs, and i l-o-v-e everything. i wish i could buy it all, but i can't. i love the key necklace, and a few others. hopefully i'll get one for christmas :)

also on MckMama's blog were these cute clutches. they are from Gussy, and are all super cute. i don't really use clutches, but i thought it would be good to keep my cell phone, wallet, and keys in, and just throw that in the diaper bag. that way i won't have to dump out the whole diaper bag to find my phone. i'll have all my stuff in the clutch for easy access.

i've also started thinking about making tutu's and selling them. hmmm...just a thought. i don't know if i would be able to find enough people to but them though. and i don't really know much i would charge for them. any suggestions? know anyone who wants a tutu?

anyways, i guess i lied when i said i don't have any plans for fall break. the one and only plan that i have so far (and it's not exactly a plan. more like a thing i want to do) is going to the pumpkin patch with addison. i think we're going to try to go tomorrow. i just have to find a good pumpkin patch that's close. we used to have one really close, but i don't know if it's still open. i hope it is. i'm going to try to take a lot of good pictures while we're there. i've become a picture taking fanatic.

let's just hope the weather is suitable for pumpkin patch adventures. it was chilly these past few days, but today was cold. like really cold. and kind of rainy. i did not enjoy walking to class.

what else, what else...

oh ya. funny story. last weekend i went downtown with 2 girls from my biology class to find tree leaves for my biology class. my mom kept addison at her house while i was gone. georgia played tennessee that day, and as you can recall, my dad is a big tennessee fan and chris is a big georgia fan. well, i got a picture message from my dad. here it is...

yes, that is our house. we did have a georgia flag up, but my dad changed it to a tennessee flag. chris was at work and got the same picture. it was pretty funny. he took it down as soon as he got home.

what's even funnier is that my dad went and bought a tennessee cheerleading uniform for addison. he took it to my mom's house, and when addison got up from her nap, my mom put it on her.

she's still super cute even in a tennessee outfit. although she's a lot cuter in her georgia tutu i made her. i'll probably put it on her tomorrow for the game. they play vandy, and hopefully they win. we were going to go to the game since it's at vandy, but chris is scared that georgia will lose and he doesn't want to be there if they do. i'll make sure to put some pictures of addison in the tutu if she wears it tomorrow, as well as pictures from the pumpkin patch if we (hopefully) go.

fantasy football

my dad set up a fantasy football league for the gym we go to. he wasn't planning on having girls in the league, but needed more people. so he was forced to allow girls into the league. and guess who is the only one who is undefeated??

that's right. me. my team's name is bailey's bitches. i thought it was pretty appropriate. there have only been 4 games, but still. i'm doing better than anyone else.

i'm no football fanatic, but i watch my fair share of games. i watch both college and NFL games, but i like doing stuff on saturdays, so i don't actually watch the games. i just have them on in the background so it's not silent. i love laying around on sunday and watching football though. it's quite relaxing. and when it gets colder, it'll be so much better.

i don't know how long it's been, but a few years ago (maybe 5. or even more than that. i don't remember) my dad made me memorize all 32 NFL teams. and i did. i think i could still list them to this day. but as far as players go, i pretty much know nothing. i know who some quarterbacks are, but that's about it. my dad has season tickets to the Titan's games, so i've been going with him to those for the past 10 years. but i still don't really know many players names. and i think all the Titans jerseys i have are for players that don't even play for us anymore.

i had never played fantasy football before, but i felt that i could do it. i mean, how hard could it be? my dad kind of explained the basics of it to me.

during the draft, you don't get to chose your players. you're just given whoever. my dad ended up with both Peyton and Eli Manning. so he wanted to trade Eli. i traded with him, but that's the only trade i've made. and like i said before, i don't know who most of the players are. so i definitely didn't have an advantage in that area.

i've already beat chris in week 3. and i beat my dad this past week, which was week 4. my dad has been the trash talker out of the group. and no one really talks back. he was quite confident he was going to beat me. and i kind of thought he would too. at least 4 of my players, maybe 5, play for the Baltimore Ravens. and they had a bye this week. so i had to drop one of them and pick up another player in order to have enough players who actually played this week. so i wasn't very confident.

the website actually predicts who will win, and they predicted my dad to win by 15+ points. lucky for me, Eli got 25 points, while Peyton (who my dad has) got 24. so we were just about even there. my tight end got me 24 points, which was very impressive. i had a player get 0 points, and i still won.

i had 2 players play last night and my defense was playing. i was down 16 points before the game started, and i beat my dad 89-80. i'm very happy with my Viking defense so far. hopefully they'll keep me undefeated the rest of the season!

on another note, i'm getting my halloween decorations today! we had some at the apartment last year, but i boxed them up and stored them at my mom's house since we didn't have much storage space at the apartment. but i'm picking them up today! i can't wait to put them out. and maybe this weekend we'll go buy some pumpkins. i can't wait! we won't carve them for a few more weeks, but they'll be cute decorations for the front porch. i'm sure i'll go buy some more stuff since we have more place to decorate this year.

oh, and don't worry. i'll be posting pictures of my decorated house soon!

it's football time!

i like football. more specifically, i like college and pro football. i'm not a die hard fan, but i do have teams that i cheer for. in the NFL, i cheer for the titans. hmmm i wonder why?? my dad has had season tickets for 10 years, so i've been to a lot of games. addison has also been to some games too (she was still in my belly though...that counts, right?). but i'm sure she'll go to lots of games with us when she gets a little bigger.

now let's talk about college football. i'm not going to pick just one team. maybe if i had gone to a big school with a good team, i'd feel differently. but i didn't, so i cheer for teams in the SEC. chris is a die hard georgia fan. and my dad is a tennessee fan. two of my cousins went to flordia. so i have people all over the SEC. but i'll just cheer for them all. i cheer for georgia when i'm with chris to make him happy :)

addison cheers for daddy's team

tybee got a hold of daddy's hat
i think this is his way of cheering for georgia :)
