the final countdown

well, the final countdown is on.

only 7 days until school starts. which is just a week.

only 7 days of summer left. which is just a week.

how did summer just fly by? it feels like it was just last week that summer was starting.

i'm getting excited and nervous about starting at belmont. it's going to be exciting to be at a new school, but it's also going to be a little nerve wracking at the beginning. being in an unfamiliar place. seeing a ton of people i've never seen before. making new friends. meeting new teachers. learning lots.

as i said, exciting and nerve wracking.

i'll be ok though. i think i'm getting more excited than nervous. at least right now. i'm sure next wednesday night i'll be anxious and nervous.

once the first week is over, i'll be just fine. i'll be in a rhythm. all of my day classes are in the same building, so i won't ever have to walk far. and i have a long lunch break, so i'll have time to do homework...and maybe some other (fun) things.

as exciting as it is for me to be starting at a new school, i'm upset that i'm going to be away from addison.

i was spoiled at vol state. i was able to take online classes and the most i was at school was from 9-2, and that was only 1 day a week. the other day i was just there from 9-12. i wasn't really away from her that much.

i couldn't find any online classes at belmont, so i'm going to be in class 2 days a week from 9:30-4:45. that is a long time. and i'm definitely going to be missing addison. i was able to find a monday night class that's just 8 weeks, so that will be nice. i'll be able to get it over with quickly.

also, addison just started at MDO this week. she's going on 2 of the days i don't have class so i'll be able to do homework and get other things done. it's going to be weird not having her all day every day. it makes me sad just thinking about it now.

i'm sure it will be fine though. she'll make new friends and she'll be excited to see me. i think she's been getting tired of being around me all the time. ha!

i'm still in major denial about school starting. i hope this week drags on foreverrrrrrrrrr.

in gigi's shoes

addison loves putting on shoes. especially ones that aren't hers.

she tries to walk around with my flip flops on, and it's pretty funny to watch.

she put my mom's tennis shoes on last night and walked around for a while in them.



then she ran to me...


...and fell.


it wore her out, so she took a juice break. she took the shoes off, but then decided she wanted to have one on.










then she got her book that has the buttons that make noise. she loves that thing. she just sits and flips through it and pushes random buttons.





i've been pretty busy this weekend and i'm going to be busy this week. i'm trying to catch up on blogs and get them finished before school starts. i'll try to still blog some, with pictures of course!

what's that in the basket?

my granny got addison this adorable dress and i absolutely love it. i think it's just so cute on her!!

i tried to get a good picture of it, but i wasn't very successful. i did get a lot of pictures of addison playing though!

she loves taking her baby to the stairs and reading to her. and when i say reading, i mean talking in her own little language.



i was folding some laundry in between taking pictures, and of course addison wanted to help. she's good at taking everything out of the basket, but after that she isn't much help. she tries to grab everything i've already folded, so i have to watch out for her.


i guess she was tired, because she laid down on the the pile of laundry she made.



and then she decided she wanted to read to her baby more...



then she proceeds to climb into the laundry basket.




and then she fell over. and i laugh and take pictures...


she didn't care that she fell over. she just looked at me like "are you going to help me or what?". and then she went back to doing her own thing in the basket.


and this was the best picture i could get of the dress.


i think she looks so cute (as usual) :)

friday fives

this weeks friday fives over at beth's blog, just me and my life, are 5 favorite websites..

1. blogger
come on. you knew this was going to be one! i kind of wish i had a blog my whole life so i could look back on what i did. maybe not my whole life, but from when i got pregnant on. i'm just glad i've been able to keep this one going! and i've loved meeting lots of new people!

2. facebook
oh how i love facebook. i can sit on there for hours. well, maybe not hours. that would be a little much. but i can definitely sucked into it. i usually just browse it on my phone. i've been able to find people that i haven't talked to in a while and catch up. it's pretty nifty!

3. imdb
internet movie database. i get on this at least once a day. i'll see someone in a show and know i've seen them somewhere else, and so i'll get on imdb.com and look it up! i have the app on my iphone, so it's even easier. and if anyone asks "who's that?" about a tv show, i'll just look it up real quick. i'm a geek :)

4. shop ruche
i recently discovered this website, and i love it! i haven't ordered anything yet, but i'm going to...eventually. they have a lot of cute stuff, and it's reasonably priced. so now you can go shop and be addicted. you're welcome.

5. twitter
twitter really confused me at first, but once i got the hang of it i started to love it! and i still do. i love the app on my iphone. it's so fun to follow different people (and celebrities). and i can update it with pointless things i'm doing throughout the day!

diaper child

i don't know why, but addison loves running around naked. ever since the peeing on the carpet incident, i don't let her fun around completely naked. she always has a diaper on. i'm not going to let that happen again. although she doesn't get to run around in just her diaper often either because she has a tendency of taking it off.

she spilled something on her dress right before nap time, so i just let her run around in her diaper until it was time to go upstairs...




...and she had so much fun!




she was a little wild, so i had to take pictures of her running around, which means i didn't get many good ones. she's still cute when she's blurry :)
