birthday and other things

today is my mom's birthday!

happy birthday mom!!

i love you so much and couldn't have a better mom. hope you have a wonderful day!!

we're going out to lunch with my mom and granny for my mom's birthday today. my mom picked the restaurant, and she chose red lobster. if you know me, you know that i'm a really picky eater, and i hate seafood. but my mom got to choose, and so we're going. but chris is really excited, because he loves red lobster. lucky.

if you haven't noticed, i gave my blog a makeover. i'm still working on a few things for it, and need to change a few things, but hopefully that will be done today.

i'm going to start designing blogs as a side job. i've been thinking about it a lot, and it's great for me. it's a great stay at home job!

i haven't started the design blog yet, but that's on my todo list for monday. so, by monday night, it'll be all set up and i'll be ready to go!

well, now i'm off to get ready to head to chris's parent's. wish i could take my laptop to play with! i will play a lot tonight since chris is going to the titan's game.

christmas eve

everything has been wrapped....

all the bows have been tied...

and the pom poms have been made (thanks valerie!)

we usually go to chris's parents house on christmas eve, but his mom has to work late tonight so it wouldn't have worked out. so instead, tonight we're going to my mom's for dinner and to open gifts, then tomorrow we're going to chris's parents for lunch and gifts.

i'm so excited! now i need to go pack everything up and head out! hope everyone has a great christmas eve, and christmas!

look what i found!

i was going to record addison eating her banana this morning, because it's just so funny, but the camera was dead.

so, of course, i charged it for later use.

addison has started making this really goofy face while she eats. it is the funniest thing ever. my dad and i went to lunch today, and addison made that face many times while we were there. she had her first cheese quesadilla, and was just so excited.

i was looking at the camcorder while addison was eating, and i found this video. it made me laugh. addison was just starting to sit up on her own, and she was so cute! she still is, but look how small she is! kinda chubby, but still smaller than she is now :)

back to the funny face. i did catch it on video. she isn't doing it as much as she normally does it, but maybe i'll be able to catch her tomorrow. i still think it's hilarious!

oops, i forgot.

addison, you're 13 months old today...oops! i'm 2 days late

what have you been doing lately??

...wearing 18 month clothes already. 12 month clothes fit, but are kind of tight

...still in size 4 diapers

...eating table food now. you love cheese, bread, chicken nuggets, yogurt, applesauce, and most things green. we've been trying to give you a variety, and you like most of what we give you

...still drinking out of a bottle. you hate that sippy cup. but we found one that has a straw, and you seem to like that. let's hope!

...taking 2 naps most days. sometimes you don't take your afternoon nap, but most of the time you do. or, very rarely, you don't take your morning nap...like today

...sleeping 12 hours each night. it's lovely :)

...about to get your 5th tooth! you have 1 (almost 2) on the top, and 3 on the bottom!

...crawling everywhere. you pull up on everything, but you haven't tried the walking thing yet

...speaking of crawling, you've gotten pretty fast. if you hear me or your daddy following you (and you know you're going somewhere you're not supposed to), you book it. it's pretty cute

...talking a lot. mainly saying bubba though. sometimes mama or dada, but mainly bubba.

...so excited about your second christmas! you can actually open gifts now. and i'm so excited to watch you (and, of course, take lots of pictures!)

i'm sure you will be walking soon. i just can't believe my little baby has gotten so big, and has grown up so much. i can't wait to see you grow up into a little girl, and then a young lady. well, i guess i can wait. i'd be happy if you stayed this way forever :)

i don't really have any pictures of addison on her 13 month birthday (haha), but i did take some a little while ago of her eating a banana with her daddy. it was quite entertaining.

addison loves bananas. i usually chop them up and let her feed herself. but the other night, chris got a banana and addison crawled over and begged for some. so he fed it to her...

chris really enjoyed it. it was pretty cute. he would take a bite, then addison would take a bite. it continued until the banana was gone chris decided he didn't want to share anymore.

of course tybee wanted in on the action. but he didn't get any.

addison tried to take huge bites. but her teeth weren't in very much, and so she could just get some off with her gums. so she got little bites.


it was daddy's turn....

yummm. she really liked it. i think she felt like a big girl.

ya, she really liked it...

i started feeding her the banana like that now, but her teeth can actually bite off more now. so i have to watch her. she'll try to grab my hand and stuff the whole thing in her mouth and then bite down really quick. she's done it a few times, and i have to fish out the huge piece of banana. she's usually not too happy when i do that. but she really likes eating her banana like a big girl :)
