how have i been living without you?

oh, the joys of wireless internet.

when i was living at home, we had wireless internet. i could sit on my bed and play on my laptop. i could sit on the couch and play on my laptop.

it was great.

when chris and i were in the apartment, we had wireless internet. the only catch was that my laptop had to be charging the whole time it was on because the battery was horrible. so we weren't really wireless.

once we moved to our house, our wireless internet didn't work. i don't know why, and i spent at least 2 hours on the phone with AT&T trying to fix it. but it really wasn't that big of a deal, since the laptop was always on the desk and always had to stay plugged into the wall. we just kept the laptop plugged into the router, too.

my great dad got me a new computer right before i started classes last fall. we definitely didn't need wireless internet for that. so i really didn't worry about trying to fix it. i had internet on the computer, and that's all that i really cared about. i could still get on the laptop when it was plugged in the router, and i rarely ever even used it.

but since chris got me this cute little mini for christmas, i wanted our wireless internet to be fixed. i mean, what's the point in having a cute little mini (that has a battery that lasts) if you don't have working wireless internet? we're paying for it, so shouldn't we have it working? well, i certainly thought so.

my dad is really good with computer and techy things, so we got him to try and fix it. he came over yesterday and played with it, and it's now working! yay! we've been able to get it working for a short period of time, but nothing this long.

i'm so so so excited to have it working. i'm laying on the couch writing this post. it's very convenient. and i'm very lazy :)

i don't know how i have been living without wireless internet for the past 6 months, but now that i have it, i remember how much i loved it!!

on a side note, we went to the pet store today to look at doggie beds for tybee.

wow, dog beds are expensive. i think i might just make one for tybee.

while we were there, we were going to look at the cats they had. i love cats, and chris has been wanting one. who knows why. i don't really want one yet, but i really do love them. last night, i went to my friend's apartment and she has two cats. that really made me want one though. no bailey, you can't get a cat. we could go see the cats, though, because in that area they were having a dog training class. it was just with one dog, and it was a st. bernard puppy.

oh. my. gosh.

that dog was the cutest thing i've ever seen! besides my child.

i fell in love. i told chris i really wanted one. but i realized they get huge, and we really don't need one. but they are just so cute! maybe in a few years. probably never.

bubba

i will just go ahead and say it. my dog is weird. i think he thinks he's a cat. or still a puppy. but he definately doesn't think he's as big as he really is. case in point...this picture.

i know he loves me, but does he seriously have to get in the chair with me? i mean, on the couch it's different. but in the tiny chair?

i remeber the day chris and i got him. we had to drive out to the country to get him. and i thought we were either going to get lost or get killed. luckily, it was neither. he was so cute and little. and now he's huge. he's still cute though. unless he's annoying me. then he's just annoying, not cute.

chris kept him at his apartment and in a cage at night and during the day when he wasn't there. he wasn't trained well enough to be out on his own. once he got bigger, he got pretty rowdy too. sometimes we would let him sleep out of the cage, but he would chew stuff. like clothes, the tv stand, the door, and pretty much anything he could get ahold of. his cage was right against the wall, and he ended up licking a hole in the wall. it was pretty funny.

when chris and i moved in together, tybee calmed down a lot. he's really chill around me. we still kept him caged, but we decided to let him sleep out of the cage one night. and he did fine. so we kept it up. but we still caged him when we left the apartment. then one day, i came home and he was out. i thought he had gotten out of his cage, but chris had just left him out. and he did fine with that too. so we never caged him again. and now that we're at the house, he just goes to sleep when we leave. he's not much of a guard dog. when we come home, he doesn't even come see who it is. he could care less.

although he is very large, he likes to cuddle. he used cuddle on the couch with me. i think he misses that now. he doesn't get to as much because of addison. but i still try to give him some attention. he will lay on the couch with anyone. and he doesn't lay beside you, he'll lay in your lap. imagine that. and he sleeps in bed with us. guess who's side of the bed he sleeps on...mine! so chris gets half of the bed, i get a quarter, and tybee gets a quarter. but it works out because i usually sleep all curled up. and when i want to stretch out, tybee just jumps down and sleeps on the floor.

here are some pictures of tybee cuddling with chris :)

it's football time!

i like football. more specifically, i like college and pro football. i'm not a die hard fan, but i do have teams that i cheer for. in the NFL, i cheer for the titans. hmmm i wonder why?? my dad has had season tickets for 10 years, so i've been to a lot of games. addison has also been to some games too (she was still in my belly though...that counts, right?). but i'm sure she'll go to lots of games with us when she gets a little bigger.

now let's talk about college football. i'm not going to pick just one team. maybe if i had gone to a big school with a good team, i'd feel differently. but i didn't, so i cheer for teams in the SEC. chris is a die hard georgia fan. and my dad is a tennessee fan. two of my cousins went to flordia. so i have people all over the SEC. but i'll just cheer for them all. i cheer for georgia when i'm with chris to make him happy :)

addison cheers for daddy's team

tybee got a hold of daddy's hat
i think this is his way of cheering for georgia :)

little one

chris has started to call addison 'little one'. i think it is so cute. i don't know why. i call her pookie, addie, sis, and i'm sure many more things that i can't think of. but chris pretty much sticks with 'little one'. it just makes me smile when he calls her that :)

today was my long day of class. since i haven't described my schedule, i will now. my first class is economics. i've had my teacher before, for a different economics class. he is really monotone and quite confusing. but hopefully i'll be able to stay awake. my next class is biology. my teacher is kind of strange, but most science teachers are. he doesn't seem to have a good sense of time, because we've had to tell him when class is up. maybe it's because he is just so into what he's teaching. my last class (at least on monday's and friday's) is american history. i'm not a history person, but i think this class is going to be the most barable of them all. i have a biology lab on wednesdays, so that makes my day really long. but i survived it today. i also have a tennessee history class online. and my teacher for that is also my other history teacher. i'm a computer/math person, and i've had some sort of class that incorporates those things in the past. so hopefully i can survive without them this semester!

addison and tybee are such good playmates......
