wow. i haven't done a wee bit wednesday in forever!

school starts tomorrow, so hopefully i'll be able to keep up with it :)


{one} what's your guilty pleasure tv show?
oh wow. i have a ton. i've started watching jersey shore {never thought i'd say that}. i'm a sucker for any of the housewives shows too. i really love tv.

{two} ear piercings on men: yes or no?
i strongly lean towards no, but i think it can work occasionally.

{three} do you have dish or comcast?
neither. at&t uverse.

{four} what's your favorite current fashion trend?
gosh i don't know. i really love flowy shirts with skinny jeans or shorts, but i just need to find some! and i'm loving chunky bracelets and watches. i definitely need to get a cute watch!!

{five} if you could learn to do anything, money not being an issue, what would it be?
i would love to learn another language. actually, lots of other languages. i know a tiny bit of spanish, and that's about it. i'm just not quick picking up other languages, but i think it would be so cool and helpful!

{six} red or white wine?
either. red makes my face get really hot though.

{seven} what type of food is your favorite (ex. italian, mexican, etc.)
i love mexican and italian. yum.

{eight} hp or mac?
mac all the way! used to be a pc girl, but i switched over last year and haven't looked back. love my mac!

{nine} what color is your bedroom?
tan. i really love it. i just need to keep it clean...

{ten} what's your favorite form of exercise?
circuits. it goes by really fast and i get in a really good workout!

it's a nasty, rainy wednesday. and i have class tonight. boo. but it's wee bit wednesdays, which makes it {almost all} better!

i'm never good at these! i'd say pale pink. it's a kind of shy and happy color.

{two} how have you changed in the past year?
hmmm. i'm not really sure how i've changed. i think i've started caring more about school, which is definitely a good thing.

{three} have you ever had any surgeries?
i had my wisdom teeth cut out. that's it!

{four} why did you start your blog?
i wanted a place to write about being a mommy and document everything that happened in addison's life. and i'm so glad i did!

{five} what are you looking forward to this summer?
going to the pool A LOT. and hopefully going to the beach!

{six} do you have any family traditions for the 4th of July?
my dad and i used to go to atlanta, but we haven't in a few years. i always loved doing that, and maybe we'll do it again when addison gets a little older.

{seven} what’s something new that you’ve tried in the past few months?
i started straightening my hair again some. that's really the only thing i can think of. it's kind of a new look, but i'm not that big of a fan. it takes more time and it gets messed up easier. i'll stick with curly :)

{eight} what is the perfect a/c temperature?
70ish. i like it to be cold.

{nine} what was the last movie you saw in the theater?
midnight in paris. i wasn't even sure what it was about, but i really liked it!

{ten} what song do you think everyone should hear at least once?
gosh i really don't know. i can't just pick one song. anything by john mayer is amazing.

i've been kind of MIA the past week. my granny went into the hospital and i've been trying to help out with everything going on, so i haven't made time to blog. i'm not going to go into details in this post, but maybe later. i figured i could do wee bit wednesdays though :)


{one} how many times have you been a bridesmaid/maid of honor?
i was a bridesmaid once. it was in my cousin's wedding a few years ago.

{two} what’s the last thing your do before you fall asleep at night?
check facebook and twitter. it's a habit.

{three} you just won your dream vacation, all expenses paid. where are you going?
some amazing beach at some awesome resort where there aren't many people. white sand beaches with clear water. and i can get tan!

{four} what is your favorite outdoor activity?
i like being outside, but it's gotten so hot the past couple of weeks! addison and i have been going to the pool a lot this past week because we can be outside and be cool! we like playing at the park and going to the zoo too.

{five} as a child, what did you want to “be when you grew up”? did you end up there?
haha well at first, i wanted to be a cashier somewhere so i could scan stuff. i always thought that was so cool (and i worked at a few places where i got to do that. not as exciting as i thought it would be). when i got a little older, i wanted to be a meteorologist. i have always been obsessed with the weather (mainly because i'm scared of storms), and i thought i wouldn't be as scared if i knew what was going on. but i'm obviously not doing that!

{six} what are 3 things your dream home would have that you don’t currently have?
hmmm...a pool, a big kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors...and the list could go on and on.

{seven} what’s for dinner tonight?
i have no idea. my summer classes start tonight so i'll probably just pick something up on the way home.

{eight} if someone stopped by your house unannounced on a typical Saturday night, what would they find you doing?
probably just hanging out at home, working or watching tv.

{nine} what’s your average monthly water bill?
well i still live with my mom, so i have no idea!

{ten} what do you do to relax?
play on the computer, watch tv, or lay by the pool - without addison. i don't exactly get to relax if she's there too :)

i've never been on any horrible dates, luckily.

hmmm. this is a hard one. maybe someone famous, just to know what it's like!

{three} what is your favorite kind of cheese?
i really love cheese. i eat SO much. i think mozzarella and feta are my favorites.

{four} do you remember your 1st grade teacher?
of course! her name was mrs. jones. i don't remember much about the class though.

{five} who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?
i'd have to say my mom. i can call and rant with her :)

{six} were you ever in a school talent show?
nope. i don't know what i would have done in a talent show. and i probably would have been really nervous.

{seven} who is your favorite fictional character?
i really can't think of one off the top of my head.

{eight} can you open your eyes underwater?
i can, but i don't like to. i used to all the time when i was younger, but it hurts now. i do it sometimes, but not often.

nope. the only time i look is when i put my fingers on the keys, if that.

yesterday, actually. i seriously never nap. i always want to, but i have so much i feel like i need to get done that i never end up taking one. and i usually wake up in a bad mood because i want to sleep more. ha! but i was really tired yesterday, so i took a little nap.

not much. the only show i watch on there is pawn stars.

{two} what is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
rain makes me really tired, so i usually just lounge around. maybe watch a movie.

{three} what does your dream house look like?
i don't really know! i see lots of houses i like, but i don't know exactly what my dream house looks like,

{four} what state were you born in?
tennessee.

{five} do you have a change jar? if so, what do you use it for when it gets full?
nope. i used to throw my change in a little container, but i stopped for some reason. i would probably just buy myself something. it'd most likely be pennies, so it wouldn't amount to much.

{six} what’s the first website you look at when you get on the computer?
blogger or facebook.

{seven} what is your favorite breakfast?
well, i'm not really a breakfast person. i like cereal for a quick breakfast. if i'm going out for breakfast, i love waffle house. some people think it's nasty, but i think it's delicious.

{eight} what’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever taken?
hmm. i'm not sure what my most memorable trip is. i went to london when i was younger and that was pretty awesome.

{nine} do you prefer your coffee black or with cream/milk/sugar?
i don't really ever drink coffee, but when i do i load it with creamer.

{ten} have you ever done a professional photo shoot?
i did the glamor shots when i was younger, but that's it.

i'm finally done with school! yay! well, at least for now. summer classes start in june, and i'm taking the GMAT. so i have to study for that until class starts. but i'm just glad to be done for a little while!! and i spent part of my first day free at the pool. i need to get rid of the ghost look i've got going on.

teachers. i've always wanted to be a math teacher, but i don't think i have the patience.

{two} what would the title of your memoir/biography be if it was written today?
ha i have no clue. i'm no good at coming up with creative names for things.

{three} how far do you commute to work?
well, i don't work. but my commute for school is about 30 minutes each way. not sure how far exactly.

{four} are your earlobes attached or detached?
attached.

{five} do you eat the unpopped kernels of popcorn at the bottom of the bag?
nope. especially not with braces!

{six} what is the strangest gift you’ve ever received?
well my dad got me a toothbrush for christmas one year. i couldn't come up with anything for him to get me, so i figured he'd just give me money. i was wrong. but it's a nice electric toothbrush and i use it now. so thanks dad!

{seven} what is one tv show that you wish hadn’t been cancelled?
hmmm. i don't really know. it'd be pretty awesome if saved by the bell was still on!!

{eight} what is something that you are saving money for right now?
nothing right now.

{nine} what hobby would you like to take up?
knitting. i learned how to, and enjoyed it. i need to start again.

{ten} how many times a year do you get really dressed up?
probably none. at least not really dressed up. i try to not look homeless when i leave the house, but it happens sometimes :)

gosh i don't even know. i'm sure i've used one at some point, but i can't remember when.

{two} did you ever fail a subject in school?
nope.

{three} where do you go to get your favorite hamburger/cheeseburger?
well i don't eat any meat, so i wouldn't know. and even when i did, i didn't like hamburgers. i'm a picky eater.

{four} have you ever served jury duty?
nope. hopefully i won't ever have to. knock on wood.

{five} how old were you when you moved out of your parents’ house?
well i moved out when i was 18, moved back in, moved out, and then moved back in. ha. lots of moving.

{six} what is your favorite color to wear?
i love to wear white or black, but i've been trying to venture out and wear more colors and patterns.

{seven} do you have a pair of shoes that you wear all the time?
i got a new pair of sandals and i love them! i have a feeling i'll wear them a lot this summer. and i love my rainbows too. and my toms. i think i may becoming a shoe person.

{eight} do you enjoy talk radio?
not really. i like listening to music.

{nine} if you could turn one unhealthy food into a healthy one, what food would it be?
probably pasta or mexican. i eat both of those a lot.

{ten} who is the best speaker you’ve ever heard in person?
hmmmm. i don't know. i haven't heard many people speak, and i can't think of who was the best.

it's wednesday again! i'm super busy with school because it's almost the end of the semester!! but the end is in sight. yay!


{one} have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
yes. once. i was at a softball tournament and i got stuck in an elevator at our hotel with a few of my teammates. one girl flipped out. i was ok though. the power didn't go out or anything, and we got out within 10 minutes.

{two} have you ever ridden on an elephant?
i have! i rode one when i was younger at a zoo.

{three} have you ever met a well known celebrity?
well let's see, i met ashlee simpson at a concert because i won tickets and a meet and greet. and lorrie morgan picked me up at chuck-e-cheese when i fell off something when i was little.

{four} do you have any food allergies?
nope.

{five} do you know how to sew?
i can sew, but not exactly well. i usually need a little guidance.

{six} did you get an allowance when you were young?
yes i did!

{seven} how often do you fill up your gas tank?
probably once a week. i drive a lot to school, so i have to fill up often. hopefully i won't have to fill up as much this summer.

{eight} have you ever been stung by a jelly fish?
nope, luckily.

{nine} have you ever been robbed?
i've never been robbed, but i've had a couple things stolen from me. it's a horrible feeling.

{ten} what is the worst haircut you’ve ever had?
well, i thought it'd be a great idea to chop off all my hair when i was in 5th grade. i looked like a boy. it didn't bother me then though. but when i look back now, i realize i looked super goofy.

about once a week.

definitely my granny's chocolate chip cookies.

save it. and then use it when i get out of school to move out.

math. for sure. i love math.

i remember standing in line to ride in one, but i didn't. i don't think i ever have. i could be wrong. clearly i don't remember.

bison.

{seven} if you had the chance to go into space, would you?
hmm. not sure. i kind of always wanted to be like zenon, so maybe. it'd be pretty cool.

pretty much never. i'm not a dancer.

if it's not far, i don't mind driving. but i'm not really a fan of extremely long road trips.

i haven't ever been caught (knock on wood), but i have re-gifted. haha. is that tacky??

ok, first off, what's the deal with photobucket?? i'm sorry if you're having issues too with your images. i'm hoping they'll all be back up soon. their site says it will be back up by late tonight, so i'm hoping that's true. sorry for any inconvenience. i had no idea until i looked at my blog yesterday afternoon.

and, another thing. i let my domain name expire because i was going to renew with blogger (i got it through godaddy first), and before i could get it through blogger, someone snatched it up! how rude. so it's back to ole blogspot.com for now.

well i've never been to a casino, but i like to play poker.

pretty good, i think. i get it from my dad :)

laptop. i like being able to sit in my comfy chair and watch tv and be on my computer all at the same time.

just pulling it up. either in a ponytail or a bun.

nope. i just read sale papers on sunday.

i like fabio from top chef. he just makes me laugh.

either modern family or the office. i love both of those shows.

the foot book is one of mine and addison's favorites. addison really loves there's a wocket in my pocket too.

doing circuits.

i'm really not sure. i'm not a fan of waiting in line, so it probably wasn't very long.

sorry i haven't blogged in the past almost week. i've been in kind of a funk so i haven't been motivated to do much, let alone blog. but since i'm on spring break, we have something fun planned for tomorrow so i'll definitely blog about it and post pictures!!

{one} what color is your kitchen?
it's hard to explain. kinda red, but with some brown/tan. that probably doesn't sound like a pretty color, but it is!

{two} do you have a good luck charm?
nope.

{three} do you prefer to write with a pen or pencil?
i use pens most of the time, but on tests and things that i know i'll need to erase i use a pencil.

{four} can you use chopsticks?
yup. i'm not an expert, but i can use them.

{five} do you prefer baths or showers?
definitely showers. a bath can be relaxing though. i haven't taken a bath in forever. don't worry, i have showered though :)

{six} what is your favorite salad dressing?
thousand island is probably my favorite on salads. i like the ginger dressing at the sushi places, too.

{seven} can you sing the alphabet backwards?
i've never tried. it would probably take me a while.

{eight} do you have any allergies?
nothing big. just the usual seasonal stuff.

{nine} crunchy or creamy peanut butter?
creamy.

um no. and i don't think i ever will. scary!!

i used to buy them that way. back in the day when i worked at abercrombie. now i realize how stupid it was to pay more for jeans with holes in them!

{two} do you get a full 8 hours of sleep per night?
no. i think i get about 7 hours most nights. which is pretty close. i wish i could sleep for 10-12 hours. i love me some sleep!

{three} what’s your favorite way to eat an oreo?
no special way. i just eat it!

{four} do you wear shoes in your house?
sometimes. if i'm in comfy shoes, i'll usually wear them without thinking about it.

{five} who would you call first if you won the lottery?
my mom!

{six} have you ever been in a food fight?
no. i remember some guys trying to start one when i was in middle school though.

nope.

{eight} do you know how fast you type?
i'm not sure. i took a typing class a few semesters ago and i think i type pretty fast.

um no. not unless i'm in the pool!

i've been slacking on blogging this past week. sorry! i've been super busy with school and addison. she's been sick on and off and we're trying to get her back to normal. hopefully i'll be back to blogging regularly soon! but for now...


{one} do you always wear your seatbelt in the car?
yup! i'm pretty good about that.

{two} do you crack your knuckles?
not very often. usually when i'm bored or nervous.

{three} what is your favorite flavor of gum?
i love orbit gum. probably spearmint or something like that. i can't chew gum now though because of my braces :(

{four} what is your favorite piece of jewelry that you own?
a silver ring i got soon after addison was born. it has my initials engraved in it.

{five} who is your best friend?
hmmmm. i have a lot of really close friends. i can't choose just one!

{six} what is your favorite smell?
well, i really like the smell of gasoline and sharpies. is that normal?

{seven} what is your favorite lunch meat?
i don't eat meat anymore. but when i did, i didn't really eat any lunch meat.

{eight} do you still have your tonsils?
yes.

{nine} do you untie your shoes before you take them off?
sometimes. depends on how tired i am.

{ten} what color is your car?
black. and pretty dirty. looking forward to the rain giving it a nice bath tomorrow :)

i almost forgot to do wee bit wednesdays!! it's pretty late, but i got it in :)

{one} what is your favorite breakfast food?
i don't really do breakfast, but when i do, i love waffle house and star bagel. i get hashbrowns and cheese eggs at waffle house. and at star bagel, i get a plain bagel with spicy cucumber cream cheese. it isn't spicy, and it doesn't taste like cucumber. and it's really good!

{two} how many pairs of shoes do you currently own?
hmmm. well i own probably 12 or so, but i don't wear all of them. my collection is growing though :)

{three} city or country?
it varies. some days i think it'd be cool to live in the city, and others i'd prefer the country.

{four} what is your favorite part of your job?
getting to know all different kinds of bloggers!

{five} what is your favorite junk food to snack on?
i can't think of just one. i'm trying to not snack on junk food anymore, but i'd say any sort of chips and dip. or little candies, like m&ms or something like that.

{six} have you ever been mentioned in the newspaper?
i think so. something for school. don't know if it was a club or sport or what.

{seven} do you use post-it notes?
yes!

{eight} do you have freckles?
a few. they aren't that noticeable though.

ya. why not? if they think they can pull it off, go for it!

i have no idea. i used to write a lot of notes in high school, so probably then.

my birthday & wee bit wednesdays!

happy birthday to...me!

i didn't really get my birthday off to a great start. addison woke up this morning around 1:30 and wanted to be held, so we went from my bed back to her bed to the chair and back to her bed. it was back a forth for a while, and then we watched some mickey around 3:30. she finally passed out around 4:30 or 5. poor girl.

this mommy is tired, but glad that addison seems to be feeling better now.

my mom went and got me a yummy birthday breakfast, and even put candles on it! how sweet!


it's supposed to snow some this afternoon and tonight, and i'm really hoping it snows enough to get me out of class tomorrow. i doubt it will though. colleges never seem to cancel class. if i have to go, it will just give me another excuse to wear my new hunter wellies!!

definitely cubed. the only crushed ice i do is from sonic. it's so good!

{two} what is your worst traffic pet peeve?
people who stay in the on ramp for as long as they can just to get 2 cars ahead. i'm pretty nice about letting people over, but those people just piss me off.

{three} what room in your house best represents your personality?
hmmmm. i don't know. since i'm at my mom's, i haven't really decorated any rooms.

{four} do you save old birthday cards?
i save some. not many.

{five} when was the last time you went on a picnic?
i don't even remember. i think it took addison to the park last summer and had a little picnic, but i'm not sure. we'll definitely have some this year when it finally warms up!

{six} do you regularly check your horoscope?
nope.

{seven} when you’re home, what do you wear on your feet?
i used to go barefoot, but now i wear socks.

{eight} what’s your favorite gambling game?
poker. i can catch on to most poker games. i may not be too good though!

no. i don't think i could, either.

wee bit wednesdays

well, today has gone a little unplanned.

i got up and got addison and myself ready for the day, and headed to take addison to mdo. i was going to go to a convo after i dropped her off (convos are things i have to go to for school). we were about to pull in to the church and addison threw up in the car. not once, but like 3 times. maybe 4 or 5.

she didn't cry or anything. she just got sick.

i felt so bad for her because she had to ride home like that. it was nasty.

she seems to be fine now. she had a bath when we got home and then we just sat and watched tv. she has been acting like her normal self and took a good nap. hopefully it was just a little tummy ache and she won't get sick again.

now on to the regularly scheduled program. aka wee bit wednesdays!


{one} what was your favorite sitcom growing up?
i liked saved by the bell and growing pains. and lots of cartoons like rugrats and angry beavers.

{two} what song always makes you happy when you hear it?
i can't think of one right off the top of my head. anything that's from when i was a kid, like nsync or something always makes me smile, just because it's funny listening to it again. songs from glee make me happy, too :)

{three} do you still have your wisdom teeth?
nope. i got all 4 removed when i was 16. over my spring break. i'm a party animal. it was the only surgery i've had, and it wasn't bad at all. i don't remember much of that week...

{four} what is your go to way to relax?
curling up in my chair in comfy clothes with a blanket and some comfort food (pizza, mac and cheese, potato. not all at the same time, of course). and watching a good show on tv.

{five} do you play any instruments?
well, i can play joy to the world on the piano. i used to play the piano when i was younger, but stopped. and i played the flute in middle school.

{six} nude beaches: yes or no?
um...no. not unless i undergo some plastic surgery.

{seven} do you chew your pens/pencils?
sometimes. not as much as i used to. i would if i used the pens with the removable tops, but now i use the clicky pens. i would chew on them and not even realize i was doing it.

{eight} can you change the oil in your car?
nope. that's why i have my step-brother!

{nine} can you curl your tongue?
nope. i can roll it though.

{ten} can you knit or crochet?
i can knit. i taught myself a little while ago, and made a scarf. i need to start again. it was relaxing to just sit and knit.

well, i don't pay bills now cause i still live at home. but i probably spend most of my money on random things, like food or little pieces of clothing.

converse.

{five} what food can you absolutely not stand to eat?
mushrooms. gross. i gag just thinking about them.

stay at home mom. and not have to do anything else (besides clean).

four. i like to barricade myself in.

3. i go through phases of being organized, and then phases of being messy.

wee bit wednesdays

yay! it's wee bit wednesdays! i've been missing these. and since school starts back tomorrow, you'll probably see these every wednesday because it gives me something to blog about :)

{one} have you ever been on tv?
yes. i was on tv once at a titan's game with my dad and i was also on the news during a little rally thing i was forced to go to. i didn't want anyone i knew to see me, and of course i ended up on the news (i was just walking, you probably couldn't tell it was me, but i could). and of course my dad thought it was hilarious. thanks dad!!

{two} what was the best movie you saw last year?
oh goodness. i don't even remember what movies i went to last year. i'm not really a movie theater person. hmmm. i loved easy a. i also liked megamind, little fockers, and alice in wonderland. i can't think of any other movies, but i'm sure i saw a few more. i usually only remember ones that i really didn't like. ha! and i didn't see any bad ones last year.

{three} do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
they're tucked in at the bottom, but that's it.

{four} do you cut coupons?
rarely. i should do it more often.

{five} do you ever count your steps when you walk?
occasionally. i guess if i'm really bored or something, i will. i'm weird.

{six} what sauce do you dip your chicken nuggets in?
well i'm not eating meat anymore, but i used to dip them in honey mustard, ranch, and ketchup. not at the same time, of course! i still dip my fries in those things, though, so i still get my dip fix :)

{seven} do you have any magazine subscriptions?
nope. i used to when i was younger, but i don't anymore. i don't really have time to read magazines.

{eight} when was the last time you wrote a letter on paper?
oh gosh. i have no idea.

{nine} what’s your favorite fruit pie?
i don't really like fruit pies. is that weird?

{ten} black olives or green olives?
definitely both. i LOVE olives. i ate green olives out of the jar when i was pregnant (and still do sometimes). yum!!
