warm weather?

i don't really know where it came from, but it was so nice outside this weekend.

just last week it was snowing and county schools were out.

i'm not complaining though! we took advantage of the nice weather and addison got to drive her car for the first time in a while...








unfortunately, it's supposed to snow again this week. what's up with that??

what addison loves

these are all things that addison is loving right now.

some she's had for a while, and others she got recently for christmas or her birthday.

her kitchen is probably her favorite, and the food cutting set comes in handy with that.

before bed time and nap time, we have to read a llama llama book. they're her favorite.

she's really good with her flash cards, too. she knows lots of the people/things on them!

and her cozy coupe, which you've seen before here, here, and here, and probably in other posts too, is still a favorite. she hasn't been able to drive her car recently because it's been so cold, so the cozy coupe inside is what gets her around the house.

snow days

since when do i live up north?

well, apparently i do.

we've had so much snow this month. we had some last month, but not as much as this month.

i don't even know how many snow days there have been.

not for me, of course. but for the county.

no no no. colleges don't let out for now. not unless it's a blizzard.

the first week of addison's mdo after christmas was cancelled because of snow.

and she didn't have it yesterday either. and schools are out today, too.

goodness!!

but, of course, i'm going to school today.

can't wait to get my wellies to wear in the snow! but i'm sure it won't snow after i get them. that's just how it works, right?

wee bit wednesdays

it's wednesday again!!!

well, i don't pay bills now cause i still live at home. but i probably spend most of my money on random things, like food or little pieces of clothing.

facebook, twitter, and etsy.

{four} what brand of tennis shoes do you prefer?
converse.

{five} what food can you absolutely not stand to eat?
mushrooms. gross. i gag just thinking about them.

{six} how many pairs of jeans do you own?
4 or 5. and a pair of jeggings. i usually wear the same 2 pairs (they're my favorites). or i wear leggings or jeggings. or sometimes skirts.

{seven} if you could have any job, what would it be?
stay at home mom. and not have to do anything else (besides clean).

{eight} have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
nope. knock on wood.

{nine} how many pillows do you sleep with?
four. i like to barricade myself in.

3. i go through phases of being organized, and then phases of being messy.

i don't use photo booth on my mac very often.

i usually only do when addison is trying to play on my computer. she likes looking at herself.

i opened it last night and found some pictures that i completely forgot about. and it made me laugh.







i just love her!

fat lip

this weekend addison had a big milestone.

her first busted lip.

poor girl.

she was helping my mom clean something in the sink and was standing on her stool. somehow she slipped or something and fell off. i was in the other room and i just heard a thud and then crying.

she's such a tough girl though. she cried for a minute then was fine when she knew she could play with her knew toy. i wish i got a new toy every time i got hurt.


and she got to play with mommy's ipad...

3 weeks!

i'm starting this countdown a little early.

i promise i won't be obnoxious about it.

my birthday!

woo hoo!

i'll be 22. and i feel old.

chocolate chip pancakes

can you guess what that is?

well, i kind of gave it away with the title.

last weekend, my mom made chocolate chip pancakes. i don't really remember ever having them before.


addison loved helping gigi cook them.








they were pretty yummy, if i do say so myself.

i'm a huge fan of chocolate. duh.

and so is addison. double duh.




i don't think i could have them every day for breakfast, but i wouldn't mind every once in a while :)

whose ipad?

well, i thought i got an ipad, but apparently addison did too.

no, she didn't get her own. but she's claiming mine now. actually, she's playing with it as i type this.

this was her the other night...








she can work the thing just as well as i can. it's pretty impressive.

she has her own folder of apps and knows what each one is.


her favorites are elmo's monster maker, talking tom, pocket zoo, itsy bitsy spider, and the wheels on the bus. they're all really cute apps. and she loves them!

i'm not sure if it's any better than watching tv, but she seems to be learning and having fun.
