when i was younger (maybe 8. maybe older/younger. i don't know...), i took piano lessons. i went to a woman that is the mom of a girl i went to school with. the lessons were out of her house.
i don't really remember much about the lessons. my most vivid memory of being at my piano lesson didn't really have anything to do with the lesson itself. it was storming, and we know how afraid of storms i am. but that can wait for another post...
anywho, the only song that i can still play on the piano is joy to the world. like both hands, play. i feel pretty cool that i can. don't ask me why i remember that one song. i'm sure i learned a ton, but joy to the world is the one that has stuck in my memory.
the other day, addison discovered my mom's piano...
at first, she was just standing at the piano with her hands in the air and playing. but then i put her up on the bench so she could sit and play.
she looks like a crazy piano player here...
and then i decided to help. i had to show off my joy to the world skills :)
what i failed to mention about joy to the world is that i'm not really very smooth playing it. i can remember the first half, but the second half is fuzzy. i spent about 20 minutes playing it with addison and then i finally got it down! i was so proud of myself :)

So fun! I can't wait to have kids for the exact reason. Im sure she will bring up so many great memories from when you were little!
Oh, she is SO precious! My baby sister loves to "play" the piano, which is...interesting. ;)But cute!
Hahaha that is so funny about "Joy to the World" because I used to play piano and that song was the first song that I was taught and played LOL! I wish I could take it back up again so I can learn to play "Bella's Lullaby" :)
